We booked the Warner Brothers Studio Tours through Golden Tours. We paid for option of having a private car to transport us from our hotel in London and back again.

Initially, they gave the wrong driver our contact number, so we received a call in the morning from our "driver" to say he was waiting for us outside Gatwick Airport (nowhere near us). After a few calls, the issue was rectified. Our actual driver picked us up from our hotel a little late, but we brushed it off as a minor hickup. If only our problems ended there!

We finished the tour in 2 and a half hours but the driver wasn't due for 2 hours, so we called the company to ask if we could be picked up a bit earlier. We were told (very rudely) by Sam that this was not possible. But he guaranteed us that the driver would arrive by 16:30, he would not be late, and that we would receive the driver's contact details ahead of time.

The driver was not there to pick us up at the promised time, Golden Tours could not provide us with any contact details, and they were extremely rude and unapologetic once again. They hung up on us more than once. Sam and Anthony were extremely rude and I'm not sure how either of them got a job working with customers.

We ended up being picked up by their "driver" almost an hour later than what was promised. Their "driver" confirmed that he is just a regular uber driver and that Golden Tours had only requested the ride a few minutes prior.

We never received a single apology from Golden Tours. I cannot understand how a company can be allowed to operate like this or think that it is acceptable.

Rather use another company, public transport, or just contact order an uber directly (it would cost the same just to get your own uber).

If I could rate zero I would absolute joke ...Guy who sold me 4 tickets for London bus tour said there was a river cruise included however didn't tell us it was only one way from London bridge to Westminster bridge.....hop on and hop off was jus ask bad would never use again

booked a tour bus got on was given the headphones to listen for the journey.
Journey began the headphones did not work tried a few of the other seats and asked a few of the passengers who also boarded after our pick up point.

No ones head phones working on any of the seats at the top deck.

Was hoping to hear and take in the sights . Not a good service.

After they journey got off , feel like wasted time on the bus. would have been better spending time and money elsewhere.

know for next visit not to go on the bus tour.

Hopped on the bus in Bournemouth town centre we paid £15.00 each. We Were handed our earphones. A bit of confusion with all the passengers. No commentary came on. Went to see the driver And told him. He didnt even try to fix the prpblem. So i rang the number on the brosure and got a indian man. All he said was to claim a refund. Should of got the city sightseeing bus.

Having a young group of students and knowing we were in Bayswster, they didn't tell us about the stop in Baker street and ignored our begging to stop at Marble Arch. As a consequence, we are on the tuve at midnight with a group of 9 to 13 yesr olds. They driver and guide didn't even apologise. First and last time with this company, especially after having paid over100 GBPs per child. Extremely unrecommendable!

Nick and Pablo were awesome!!! Nick was very accommodating, I needed to check on my Covid test for my cruise! I couldn’t get my wi-if working and he connected me to his hotspot, very nice! Gave us a lot of local tips and suggestions also. Day was very busy everywhere we went, very rushed due to lines everywhere but it was a Saturday so probably wouldn’t recommend this tour due to that, could not enjoy any one place really, would recommend maybe one or two instead of three destinations instead but guides made it great anyways! Didn’t even have time to eat all day, barely had time to go to toilet and get drinks…

Booked a London bus tour with a live guide. No one bothered to tell us when we got on that there was no guide. Got off shortly after, company refusing refund and hiding behind the usual covid excuses. Sure we understand that staffing is hard, but if you can't deliver the service you've charged for then a refund should be offered.

A friend and I did the Afternoon Tea bus in London on 25th June and had a fantastic time. The 3 members of staff were lovely and friendly (the female host in particular) and we got to see some great sights. The afternoon tea was nice, although the scones were slightly dry, but all in all that wouldn't put us off going again.

GOLDEN TOURS - RIP OFF ARTISTS!

I have booked a daily tour from London for three people which cost me about $326. Because my family is the first time in London we had a problem finding the location, we were late for the tour and missed the bus. I have approached the Golden Tours office in person asking them if they can reschedule the tour to another day. They had no problem finding three spots the next day but insisted on me paying another $200 or so in new reservation. My arguments that they already collected the money, and there are available spots for tomorrow anyway did not work. Golden Tours should be ashamed of its pathetic customer service! They should have no problem accommodating customers as they already collected money instead of insisting on shamelessly ripping off customers. STAY AWAY FROM THESE PROFESSIONAL RIP OFF ARTISTS!

I was booked for a train and Windsor castle entrance. Waitied for more days for all my tickets and vouchers. It was sent to my email only after I emailed them.. When i came to windsor entrance.. They told me that it wasnt the voucher intended for winsor entrance and so I phoned the customer service. Worst is that fhey kept telling that the ticket file was sent in my email..but i told them it was only a confirmation voucher not the ticket itself.. Such a pain in the neck as they kept telling me disrectpectfully that the ticket was sent rather than sending me a new email with the ticket itself.. I have been working as an HR for many years and i know emails.. Such a crap when this people trying to make me feel ignorant rather than accepting thier negligence.

I paid £90 for two Hop-on Hop-off bus tour tickets in London on Saturday 9th April at 2.00pm. Useless, unused, and unable to get a refund. The E-ticket came in an email which also included a link with which to download both map and timetable, but which only produced a map. There was no timetable. At the Hotel where we bought the tickets we were told where to find the bus stop. After walking for 20 minutes we found no bus stop at the location. After searching and waiting for over an hour we were told by another bus driver that Golden Tours do no operate after 12 noon. No wonder they failed to provide a timetable. Using the telephone number provided it was confirmed that they only pick up in the mornings. Not much Hop on Hop off going on, thinks I. I asked for a refund but was asked why I wanted it. I had paid £90 for tickets which were not possible to use. I was told to send an email and explain why I wanted a refund. Maybe the girl on the phone was tired and unable to pass on the simple request. However, having emailed Golden Tours to request a refund and explain why, I am still waiting and out of pocket. It is now 11th June. I complained at the Hotel while there and suggested they stop promoting a useless service. The hotel claimed to have no connection with Golden Tours, even though my tickets show the hotel as a reseller. Not much Gold, no Tour, no refund.

We booked a tour to Warwick Castle, Stratford Upon Avon (William Shakespeare's home), Cotswolds and Oxford. Mark and Ash provided excellent service, and we thoroughly enjoyed the entire experience. I would highly recommend booking the tour with Golden Tours.

Decided to have a bus tour on Friday 3rd June after an eventful day at the Trooping the colour. Golden tours were the first company we came across and asked the guide outside the bus if the bus went near piccalilli circus and that's where we want to get off. We were told yes, given a map and told we would go to all the places on the blue route. We rushed on board after paying £89 for the 4 of us. After about 30 mins we saw someone with head phones. Apparently these are by the driver which we we never told. After 2 hours of driving round Westminster and missing out 3/4 of the route, we ended up back at the start. After asking why we didn't do Buckingham Palace, St Paul's, Downing Street we were told there are road closures and they weren't going that way! Why sell a tour at full price when all you see is Big Ben and the tower of London? We were then told we should have got off at Victoria and got on the Red route.. Next time I will take my crystal ball. Still fighting to get a refund..

I was in York this afternoon at around 3pm. My friend and I decided to try the tour bus. We were approached as soon as we got to the bus stop by a pushy agent who pushed for us to pay for the red bus tour. We had a limited time before we had to return to the coach station to return home. Two blue buses came by and eventually a red bus came which we then learned was out of service. We then had a long wait and had to get off the bus at Clifford's tower. We were on the bus for a very short time and felt we had wasted £13 each. Obviously the agent could not foresee a'bus going out of service but he did say he was not carrying cash so we felt we couldn't get our money back and just change our minds. The experience put a bit of a damper on the afternoon.

Total rip off. Avoid at all cost!

We wanted to buy tickets for a boat trip between Westminster Pier and Towerbridge. Golden Tour had a massive sign advertising this trip for a family of 4 at £24,95 but the person in the booth wanted over £40. When I pointed out that the big advertising board in front of him was selling it for 24,95 he responded that this ticket wasn’t available anymore. So, why are they advertising it, if it is not available? The best the staff member was prepared to offer was £34,20. Needless to say we didn’t buy the tickets of GoldenTours and I pointed out to the member of staff that this is actually illegal. How many tourists fall for the advertised price and end up paying £10 more?
We went to the tour operator (Cruise Experience) in the booth next door and paid £26 for the same trip. My feeling is that GoldenTours is deliberately trying to make extra money out of tourists. Avoid at all costs!
